During my life here on Planet Earth, I hope I can remember to live up to these wise words every single day. While this quote is simple, the message behind it is anything but. I remember hearing these words be spoken in an old movie that will always be one of my favourites, and perhaps it stuck with me because I looked up to the person who spoke them. I must have been around the age of 12 when i first heard this quote, and quite gracefully it nestled into my young mind, never to be forgotten.

I mean how beautiful; to have the opportunity to lead every day with these words of wisdom in mind, and to potentially make a difference in a persons life because of them. And the best part is, there are over a million different ways that this could be applied!

I’m going to ask you something, if you could completely diminish one human trait what would that be? And do you see that same trait within yourself? I will go first; in my opinion too many people stand by and watch a person go through the torture of undeserved pain without so much as taking a brave step forward and using all the power they have to put an end to it. There are a devasting amount of cases where victims have bled out on busy streets or have been taken, right under the watchful eye of locals going about their day as usual. Everyday i ask myself, “Why is this the way?”. It is literally shameful to be able minded and bodied but refuse to save someone from such a state of despair and horror.

As this is probably one of the things I dislike the most about the human race, I will do my very best, by sharing this message and becoming the exact opposite of the cowardness that exists in the masses. It will never be about size or physical strength when it comes to someone that stands against a person with bad intentions, just as long as enough people make the change and chose to do the same. For those that chose to commit vile acts against others in broad daylight, I’m sure the numbers in such violent cases would decrease if people actually left their homes with the intentions to be the change.
